Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

  1. Position furnace: Place on level surface with minimum clearance requirements.
  2. Connect gas line: Use approved gas piping and fittings; pressure test required.
  3. Connect electrical: 120V AC power supply with proper grounding.
  4. Connect venting: Install PVC vent pipes according to local codes.
  5. Connect thermostat: Wire compatible thermostat to control board.
  6. Connect ductwork: Secure supply and return air ducts properly.

WARNING! Installation must be performed by qualified HVAC technician. Gas leaks can cause explosion or fire.

First-Time Setup

Power on furnace; follow startup procedure.

  1. Verify gas supply: Ensure gas valve is open and pressure is correct.
  2. Check electrical: Confirm proper voltage at unit.
  3. Install filter: Insert clean air filter in filter compartment.
  4. Set thermostat: Program desired temperature settings.
  5. Test operation: Initiate heating cycle and verify proper function.
  6. Check venting: Confirm proper draft and exhaust flow.

CAUTION! Never bypass safety controls. Ensure proper combustion air supply.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access control board via front panel. LED status lights indicate system operation.

Thermostat Controls: HEAT/COOL/OFF, FAN AUTO/ON, temperature setting, program schedules.

System: Blower speed settings, temperature limits, cycle rates. Safety: Pressure switch monitoring, flame rollout protection, high limit control. Diagnostics: LED error codes, system status indicators. Maintenance: Filter timer, service reminders.

Connecting Thermostat

Compatible with most 24V thermostat systems including smart thermostats.

  1. Turn off power to furnace at circuit breaker.
  2. Remove old thermostat and label wires.
  3. Connect wires to new thermostat: R (power), W (heat), G (fan), C (common).
  4. Mount thermostat and restore power.
  5. Configure thermostat settings for furnace type.

Tip: Use thermostat compatible with multi-stage systems for optimal performance.

Operating Modes

Supports multiple heating modes for comfort and efficiency.

  1. Heating mode: Set thermostat to HEAT; furnace ignites when heat demanded.
  2. Fan only: Set thermostat FAN to ON for continuous airflow.
  3. Multi-stage: Lower stage for mild weather, higher stage for extreme cold.
  4. Smart recovery: Anticipates temperature needs for precise comfort.
  5. Vacation mode: Maintains lower temperature when away.

WARNING! Never operate furnace with access panels removed. Keep combustible materials away.

Maintenance Features

Filter reminder light: Indicates when filter needs replacement. Diagnostic codes: LED flashes indicate specific issues for troubleshooting. Service mode: Allows technician testing without normal operation.

Care & Cleaning

Turn off power before maintenance. Replace air filter every 1-3 months. Keep area around furnace clean and unobstructed.

CAUTION! Do not attempt internal cleaning without qualified technician. Annual professional maintenance recommended.
