Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

  1. Position furnace: Place on stable, level surface with proper clearances (6 inches minimum).
  2. Connect gas line: Use approved gas piping; pressure test for leaks.
  3. Connect venting: Install proper PVC vent pipes according to local codes.
  4. Connect electrical: Wire 120V AC power and thermostat connections.
  5. Connect ductwork: Secure supply and return air ducts properly.

WARNING! Gas appliances require professional installation. Ensure proper ventilation and follow all local codes.

First-Time Setup

Power on furnace; follow startup sequence.

  1. Check gas supply: Ensure gas valve is open and pressure is correct.
  2. Set thermostat: Install and program compatible thermostat.
  3. Test operation: Set thermostat to heat mode and verify ignition sequence.
  4. Adjust settings: Configure fan speed, temperature limits, and operating modes.
  5. Verify airflow: Check all registers and returns for proper airflow.

CAUTION! First startup must be performed by qualified technician. Test carbon monoxide detectors.
